Driver side door latch problems

When I lift my outside door handle there is very little resistance, then the last 1/4 inch you fell a little, you then have to lift up on the door and then it opens. If you open the door from the inside it opens like its supposed to.

Do I need to replace the latch? I've tried adjusting the Allen screw on the linkage but it didn't do a thing.

If it opens fine (no excessive force) using the interior handle, I don't believe the latch is the problem. I would remove both, driver & passenger inner door panels and compare linkages. Sounds as if something is possibly bent going to the drivers outer door handle, causing to require more pressure to get it open.

Sounds good, I will check it out. I know everyone has had some kind of problem with these heavy doors.
