Hello fellow Mopar fans. I have a question about a driveshaft I have. The numbers are 2996161 E 28 9. What does the E 28 9 mean?

Thx for your response. I was thinking the E might be the year because the E stamped on the Engine meant 1969 and I thought that maybe the 28 was the date and the the last 9 was the month of September. Thats my guess, but I wanted to hear what other members think. Date codes give me a headache.

Carburetors use the alphabet for months, but skip I and J.

Fran, the Carb dates do use J.

M = December

if they skipped J then N would be December. Ever seen a carb date with N? Nope!
