on my 69 road runner i have manual drums all around if i change over to disc and keep it manual will i have to change out the master cylinder and proportion valve?

thanks everybody has been real helpful to me on this site

from what i have gathered on here you can use spindles and calipers and rotors off a dynasty or 5th ave on my car? is that correct? could i use booster and master cylinder and prop valve off same car?

I bought a 5th Ave to do the conversion because I was told the disc set up should work. The booster is a different story. It is too big to fit my '67 without hammering or cutting into the inner fender.

disc conversion

Master Power Brakes www.mpbrakes.com has a front disc kit which show 73-89 chrysler rotors and 76-79 Aspen/Volare calipers. More info on their site.

yea ive read the article over and over again but sure seems like a lot of people have used junkyard parts with no problem. the junkyard i been to have a few 5th ave and diplomats. i just wondering if i should go manual or power disc brakes. what do you guys think?

You can get adapters for the different size lines. Hers some places...Inlinetube, Classictube, Napa just to name a few. Or get the master, some new tubing with nuts, and bend new lines for the new master, either way its an easy job.

This has been proven to be completely false.

I wouldn't chance it on my car. Ask yourself this: If the spindles are 100% interchangeable, why would the factory go to the (considerable) expense to tool and produce a different part, if the ones they were already producing would work just fine? Don't you think they'd have saved the money?

To do this real easy you can leave the front brake lines connected to the distribution valve and connect the rear master cyl line directly to the rear brake line, by passing the distribution valve with the rear brake lines.
