Have a 67 coronet and the emergency brake pedal engages but won't remain in place. I can push the the release handle in and hold it and the brake works. Looks like theres a broken spring on the release handle.
#1 How do i remove the spring off the release handle rod
#2 where does it connect to once i get a new one?
#3-Can't seem to locate a spring for this
Please Help

The plastic parking brake handle is held on to the rod with a roll pin I think and everything should slide off of that end once it's off. The spring is captured between the middle of the rod where it's staked and the bolt on bracket. You can probably source the spring new from someone like Century Spring or just go to Pick N Pull and rob a parking brake assy from a late model Dodge van or truck. Just look at all the late 70's early 80's MoPars and see what looks the same - assuming you can find any.
