Empty seats at Indy

Agreed, I was a huge Nascar fan but way to boring now unless it's a road race.
Australian V8 Supercars is awesome to watch.

I'll still turn it on but it's usually out in the shop when I'm doing other things. I still try to catch the truck races since I think they put on a better show and still like the road courses. Probably been 25 years since going to TWS (Texas World Speedway) but was still involve in drag racing so even though I was watching most of the stock car races on TV, I didn't go very often at all. I guess the best time I had was going to the truck night race at Texas and getting a VIP pass. Eating free BBQ in the garage area wasn't a bad meal either. The only down side was the guy I went with had to be back to work the next day so it was a 560 mile round trip. Never again will that happen lol. The biggest down side right now imo is Kyle Busch winning everything in sight!

I understand safety concerns, but for me a lot of the thrill was lost when they stopped racing "stock" cars. I'd like to see them go back to racing actual cars with different drivetrains and engineers. That's half the thrill of competition. Even if it would be a lot slower, for me, that would drive my interest. I want to see manufacturers compete. As far as Toyota and other foreign manufacturers... sure let them compete too, but I want to see what they are selling in the showroom (more or less).

I would rather see the race play out and get down to a few possible winners.
This free pass and wave around, I don't know.

at $500k a race, millionaire drivers/namesakes 2nd & 3rd generation
& mandatory Good Year tire contracts/leases etc.

Most the independent teams & 1 car teams are few & far between too,
that was what helped to make NASCAR in the hay-day...
It's all about Billions in TV time/TV money now/TV Sponsors, Big Corporations Conglomerates,
Bottling Co.'s, wireless carriers, mega $$$$'s, they get paid either way...

Basically it the all
Hendricks, Childress, Gibbs, RPM {Roush rented cars}, Stewart Haas, Roush
basically only factory supported super teams & factory funded R&D...
Billion {Or near} $$$ operations, employing 100's of people each,
in house machining & fabrication, body paint etc.

There's only a couple stand alones, that rarely compete competitively...

What ever happened to win on Sunday buy on Monday, mentality...
