Does anyone know how to restore the vinyl material that is on the wiring tabs? The tabs are on the firewall and core support and bend over the wire loom to keep it in place. Mine were damaged by blasting media. HELP!

Thats a tough one. This may sound crude but since it is down to bare metal. I would make up some tabs and drill a hole in the center of them and tack weld them in through the hole you drilled to the firewall. If you cant weld than maybe pop rivet it. As for the rubber coating on the outside They make a rubber dip in colors for grips on pliers and tools.

There used to be a liquid you could buy [can't remember the name] that was a vinyl type coating you could dip your pliers handles into ect. thought you get it at lowes, home depo.

Wow!

Boy, you guys are fast!!! Yeah, it's just the vinyl coating that's damaged. Can't seem to find the "tool dip" anywhere, but I need to be real picky about how good this stuff looks. It's not a show car, but . . . Well, you know. Thank's everyone!

Plastidip

Cool! I'll probably use it. Very interesting. Thanks again.

I seen a long time ago a product just for this type of thing in Car-Craft Mag... here is one product you could check out, You can spray it, paint it, or dip it.. Ive heard this stuff works good but ive never used it to give you any advice..
