1851629 is close butttt it must be a 62 block....

Got a picture of the head gasket area of the block?
 
That stamp is MR and the block is a 1959 passenger car 413. same in a imperial, New Yorker and 300.
The 5 digits is a sequential number, not a date.

'62 Max Wedge (MP = Maximum Performance)? Has it got AAQA embossed on the front of the block?
 
62 maxwedge block is 1852029.
63 426 maxwedge block is2406730
R413 nailed it. (The pad stamp is a completely wrong font to be a maxwedge).
 
After looking I agree MR not MP... And being earlier would explain the casting number being close but not quite right... I'll stick with the newer stuff... Leave the antiques to you old guys.... :rofl:
 
My opinion of it?
Somebody must have cared enough about it to paint the valley (tho it doesn't look like glyptol) and put head studs in it. (If your gonna paint it, why not grind the casting flash out first???)
What is the bore size currently? Standard? .030? A sixteenth over for 426?

Yeah the font didn't look like I expected either... Like I said, leaving this for the old guys..
 
If you are going g to sell it, don't give it away. 300 E owners don't grow on trees, but it would be worth more to them than anyone else. I would contact the chrysler 300 club.
