I have a 74 charger with a 78 fury engine.
Just needing to do a rebuild as its been sitting for a while and I would like a freshen up.
All i need is info to get the old 440 to the grunt of the earlier 440 or there abouts.
Im also looking to replace carby.
Any suggestions on whats required parts wise?
Best carby to use?
Simple rebuild that will produce more grunt?
Im in australia so not many "experts" down here.
I would buy all required parts from the USA and ship to aus,
If your a rebuilder or have expereince would love to know recommendations and parts required.
Not looking for a 700 hp cracker just a daily driver that packs a punch
Thanks

talk to tony at brinks performance in townesville qld (my cousin), mopar expert, or i am definite someone here can offer some advice, i can share some light but

The only real difference is in the emission controls... 74 is a boarder line emissions year here in the states meaning a 75 would need catalytic converters in most states with inspections... might be worth checking out local or provincial laws on this.... being a 78' motor with all its emissions should be above board for 74 model car so I would at least save whatever came off incase it may be needed in the future

I have a simple and cheap recipe I did to the 77 440 in my green Belvedere. It's in the racers section under 12 second build.
