How much is a 440 hp out of a 1968 polara police car worth? It is complete from intake to oil pan with hp exhaust manifolds with it. I have a chance to buy this but dont want to get taken on the deal. The crankshaft rotates so it is not locked up.

What’s his asking price? Do you have the ability to hear it run, if not I’d consider it a core you don’t know anything about it. Either way $1000-$1500

I agree. I seen a 440hp (69) re-buildable core awhile back for 750.00 but that don't happen very often but I would start 750-1000 for openers.

Nice HP manifolds are around $350 - $400.
We are assuming a standard bore block?

Aren't C body HP Manifolds different than B body? Price wise on those Manifolds????
I agree with others $750-$1000, but wouldn't go much above $1000 without knowing a good bit more.

Yes, C body manifolds would be different and not worth as much. My numbers were for B-body manifolds.

Thank you all for the information. The engine ran when they pulled it out. It has sat around in my dad's garage for a long time but still turns. I didn't know there is difference between b and c body exhaust manifolds either.

I can tell you hp manifolds from a 70 Charger R/T will work with a 65 383 Sport Fury and oem duals bolt right up.
