Looking to get my 70 dodge charger exhaust manifolds ceramic treated. These are done at 500 degrees. Does anyone know if the heat will damage the spring in the heat riser. Spring can't be removed as it is tack welded. I know there is a heat riser kit sold, but hoping I won't need it if the spring loses resistance with the heat. Help appreciated. Thanks, Rob

I don't exactly know, but hundreds of hours at an operating temp in the 400F range vs say 1 hour at 500F would lead me to say no.

Try 1250 + shooting out that exhaust port. That said... I doubt the coating lasts...

As the heatriser has been tack welded open, it makes no difference if the spring is damaged. It is no longer doing anything.
