First, let me explain I have been a legal resident in Mexico for the last ten years or so, but I have a USA cell phone with a San Diego area code.

My cell phone rings with an area code from the state of Virginia. The caller identifies himself as calling from the office of Homeland Security and Border Protection. I notice right off the speaker has one of those "India" accents. Asks me over and over again if I am expecting a package from Mexico (not "to Mexico", where I am now). Must have been a scam. Good luck next time.

I started answering calls with "Good afternoon IRS Fraud Hotline, how can I help you?" and they hang up.

I got some stupid email today that told me my Wells account had been compromised and I needed to do something. Ok - never ever had or will have a Wells acct. “Unsubscribe” then to junk folder. Been getting a lot of this garbage lately - not sure why as I never have before. Texts and emails. I’ve always been pretty much clean of all that - but now it seems as tho somebody has my number.

I don't answer **** from anyone these days.
Leave me a voice message and I'll call you back if its that important.
It's sad that it has come to this.

Did they say they could fix your Dell computer while they were on the line?
