F-22 Made it's first "War-time" strike ...used in syrian attacks...

So we spent billions of dollars for a stealth aircraft to attack a bunch of rag heads in the desert. Fraud, waste and abuse.

All that money to bomb empty building. Really?

WASHINGTON—The Pentagon's most advanced fighter plane made its combat debut in the U.S.-led strikes on Syria overnight, serving a crucial purpose for a sensitive mission that depended on stealth.

-Pilots flying the F-22 Raptor flew bombing runs over Syria to target the militant Islamic State group, U.S. officials said.

-Officials didn't say what targets the F-22 struck, but said it was used later in the series of strikes, which lasted several hours.

-Military officials said the planes ability to avoid detection by the advanced Syrian air defense systems was one reason to use the plane. But the plane's ability to fly higher and faster than other fighters also allows it to drop its 1000-pound guided bomb from a much further distance than older fighter planes, Air Force officials said.

-According to the unclassified specifications of the plane, an F-22 can drop a precision bomb from at least 15 miles away from its target.

-"It has a unique ability to approach adversaries in a way legacy aircraft can't," said the Air Force official. "There are things the F-22 is uniquely suited to address that the other fighters in our inventory can't."

YAY!

Our transparent government wants people blind-deaf-dumb to it's affairs. Get back to the TV and watch something inane..... Be a good little citizen. That F22 seems like it would be a great target when doing those slow speed tricks.

Its essentially INVISIBLE..
The role of the F-22 is not to engage. Period.
The role of the F-22 is to eliminate the remote chance of engagement.

It goes "deeper" than that but that is simple "Lay-man's" terms so we can understand.

I was pointing out that the slow and low stunts are pointless. Just something that can be done with the vectored thrust. The stealth thing is a given.

The ""PUBLIC", the people OWN the U.S Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S Coast Guard, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines.
Ocassionally, when given the chance during exhibition shows, the public attends and they WANT to see where their money was (is) spent.
It is a "Give Back" to the people.

That is why we have Air Shows and Military demos.
Such as the Abrams M1A tank doing 60mph and locking onto its target and firing "Kill-shots"

I think its a good thing...and yes, "The Air Force" does show the World a "little" of what the F-22 can do...just a little...
