My 68 R/T has its original Bendix front disc brake on it. Its currently fine when I reassembled the car about 3 years ago now. I rebuilt the calipers , got new pads and had the rotors turned to clean them up.

But when the rotors get worn down or possibly warp ( I do take the car to the strip so it does see some heavy braking ) . I am SOL ,am I not ? There are no replacements made for the factory style rotors. OR has someone finally decided to reproduce them ?

If not I will have to switch to an aftermarket or OEM hybrid setup?

Canadian1968,
Not at all "out of luck"... I bought those Rotors years ago -- and have them N.O.S. --
If you can't call the U.S.A. for FREE, P.M. me here, and I will call you back......
Yours, Craig.....
P.S. -- Yes, they have been Obsolete for decades.....

Brake pads, and shoes can be relined. It's often done when working on old equipment; someone brought in a set of shoes for a 1950's Maple Leaf fire truck where I work, we sent them out and got them relined. Just look up brake shoe reline in your area.

Year One and the Ram Man have the reproduction rotors. The disc pads are available also.
No need to change them.

---- IF --- they are reproduced, correctly (year one is famous for having things made incorrectly) & the ram man ONLY buys and doesn't make, they would, of course, be Chineseum made --- and probably more money ( $ $ ) than mine.....

Any reproduction brake pad will NOT and can NOT be
++ N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ and will rip up those Rotors to smithereens.....

So , if you are looking for garbage... You really need not go further than your curb on refuse collection day.

You don't need asbestos. I haven't had any extra rotor wear with Raybestos hybrid ceramic pads. They stop well, are quiet and don't create dust.

I'm not sure why the worry. I turned my Bird's rotors for the first time last Fall at 56,310 miles and all they took was a light lick. Can't see ever warping those ~3/4" thick discs...
