Factory Panther Pink 69 Super Bee

Posting on this topic reminded me that I met a guy and pulled many little things from his 69 Coronet RT 4sp.--This was in the late 90s.--
He was about to send it to scrap and I had one afternoon to get what I could for almost free.

This car was very solid -rust wise- and was a burgundy color.??
I suppose it was R6 from this chart. They call it red.
If I had a do over I would have dragged that one home.

BTW I still have the power bulge hood from that odd color 69 coronet rt 440 4sp car. May it rest in pieces. Or as a refrigerator that is about to go bad.:)

Well,
I have received some further information and at this point, until further notice I will no longer call this car panther pink or FM3 paint code.

Painted pink at the factory? ABSOLUTELY
The only 69 super bee 383 4 gear car painted some sort of PINK at the factory? Entirely possible.
Ma Mopar and her inconsistencies? PRICELESS

LOL.

Cool *** car tho and cool *** story.

Absolute love affair.

hmm,so what gives? its deffo an original pink car.
So Glad you guys got it,now a piece of history will be saved.
so,again,what gives,whats the paint?
is it gonna turn out to be a dusty rose gm pink? lol.

and btw,
seems like i recall them having issues with the bright paints when they started.
remember how omaha orange would fade like crazy?

It was special order paint no doubt.

It was pink no doubt.

Gonna compare the area under the windshield and rocker wiring covers to the paint chip see how it looks.

Rare car regardless
