I have a set of 15X8 steelies I'm putting on my '68 Satellite, and I'm thinking about 235/75R15 tires in all four corners - aiming for a "stock" kind of look.
Does this combo sound reasonable?

Hi Cletus,

I am thinking 235/75 might be a little tall - maybe a 70 series? An 8" rim width is OK as far as width, but I would personally prefer to put a 235 tire on a 7" rim.

I know some guys are running 245/60s on 8" rims. This is certainly more "beefy" and fills up the wheel well but has the stock look.

As a reference, below is my Son's 73 Road Runner. The front tires are 235/60/15 on 6 1/2 wide rims and the rear are 275/60/15 on 8" wide rims.

Good luck with whatever you choose...

Thanks. Yes, figured 75 might be a bit on the tall side... might settle for 70. Have to check...
