Fan clutch

Hei.

My clutch is to long. Overall it is 86 mm or in your numbers 3,38".
Is there a shorter one i can use. It is not the fan that is the problem.
Can i take it apart???????? Tryed to find a picture that is cut in half to se the inside but no luck.
Any suggestions.

I had the same problem. The one you need is Hayden part # 2765
Exact same bolt pattern.

I had saved this post from another web site regarding these fan clutches.
The restoration services for these EXPENSIVE fan clutches is cosmetic only. If your original one has any play in it I certainly would not use it as it can very likely go through your expensive radiator and ruin all.

Here is as good of a replacement for the original as you will get.


Mopar Performance pat number for fan/clutch assembly that can be used for A12 clutch replacement

Get the Mopar viscous fan clutch pkg. Toss out the lousy fan blade they give you with it. Use the correct studs to retain the '216' fan to the clutch. The nice thing about these units is that the mounting hub isn't slotted so it will look pretty good once installed.

If you use a Hayden #2765 (7.25" dia.) or a #2665 (6.0" dia) these work best. 2 5/8" overall height. The Mopar clutch is 3 5/8" overall heigth and sometimes makes a clearance problem. As far as looking correct, no. Then its big bucks time. Hope this helps.
