Fast Easy Method For Drilling Spot Welds

It actually looks like a Uni-bit or Cobra bit which I have bunch of. They do drill fast.
I used the Blair Rotabroach in 5/16" and 3/8"
Also the seam buster blades for where a drill won't work and also cutoff wheels..

I think that is mostly for removing a salvage panel with bits of the junk car still attached. Chris Birdsong (Junkerup) showed this in one of his videos. If the top or outside is the panel your keeping and the new panel is slid in behind (without the holes) it will work.

A really quick & easy method that I use if I don't mind blowing through both panels, is to cut the hole with a plasma cutter. It blows back sparks, but the hole is cut within 2 seconds. Separating the panels is a little harder because of the melted metal at the interface, but it's pretty easy. This method is also nice because you can make oblong holes really easily if the spot isn't circular.

But most of the time, I'm removing a really rusty piece of garbage panel, and I'll use the cut-off wheel to get it done. Then use a hammer to whack the rusted remains off. It's faster than even using a seam splitter.
