Another first for me. :( When I bought my 74 Roadrunner, the front clip was off. The guy I bought it from put it back together and did a pretty good job except for the driver's side fender. The spacing between the driver's door and the quarter panel is spot on, but the spacing between the front of the door and the fender looks to be about a skosh over 1/8" too wide.

What do you have to do to close that space a bit? I figured I had to loosen the bolts on the top of the fender to slide the fender back a bit,but what else do I have to un-do or disconnect?

Thanks!

Keep playing with it LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I know but I couldn't help myself

Like how far off is it really? got any pics??? sometimes Its as good as its gonna get with out grinding bolt holes.

If you play with fender to much your likely to throw off whole front end, a lot of guys will weld on door gaps to build metal up I have seen guys weld whole sticks of welding rod to doors to build up the gaps then grind them down.

Way to much is put into the subject of door gaps that were never perfect from the factory in my opinion.

Sorry I'm not much help I cant explain it I just do it and I fight adjusting the doors to the quarters and then the fenders to the doors and then the hood to the fenders I have fought with cars all day long myself for days in some cases.

I just shoot for ball park gaps eye pleasing the cars were never perfect from the factory anything more is just Annal in my opinion.
