Fiberglass hood repair questions

Thanks I really appreciate your help and offer. its all a learning experience for me. I rather ask before I do something and do it right then do twice...

Thats what ya need to do, kind of like welding a panel on, measure 4 times do it 5 times then weld it ONE time. Works great that way..

I just wanted to make it clear to 69clone what is stronger. You didn't say anything wrong at all. I just want 69clone to get his hood repaired properly.

I understand, no problem here at all. same team. More 69clone learns on this subject, more he can help someone else in the future.. And we ALL need help, on something at sometime. Ron

Thanks guys, I appreciate all your input and help.
I am almost their! We miss calculated how much bondo i need for the car, So i ended up playing around with it, did a complete area bondo/primer/2 coats of semi flat black, It turned out pretty good of course you can see some flaws but i did it quickly and it looks like nothing a few more coats and wet sanding wouldn't take care of, let alone if i had just done a better job before spraying.
Will keep you guys posted and when i'm done i'll get some pictures from before and after.
