I want to leave the trim off of my wagon for awhile but I don't want to permanently weld up the holes. I do want to seal up the holes to keep water from getting in too much (I live near Seattle).
Is there any kind of trim snap or nut type thing I can just screw or pop in the holes, or would I be better off using some kind of filler I could knock out with an awl or something later? I don't mind if I have "warts" on the car, it'll look better than all of the holes I have right now.

hello. check out this web site and search for snap in plugs. it may be what your looking for temporary. www.mcmaster.com

If you're going to put the trim back on later might suggest a dab of clear silicone under the rivets/plugs to seal the panel.

I have been using plastic pop rivets to fill the rocker trim holes on my 65
