I have been meaning to post this. I had a problem running an Edelbrock RPM intake with a factory unsilenced breather under the stock hood of a 66 belvedere. I went down to my local parts store (we have one independent left) and went through a filter catalog. I found the shortest filter with the correct diameter. The filter solved my problem by lowing the breather top. I had to leave the hood insulation off but it fits barely. I didn't want to use a drop base because of where the coil is located. Thought I would share with you guys.

Wix filter part # 42113.

Do you have a 440? Auto trans?
I was thinking of switching to a RPM but cant use a drop base because of kickdown linkage.

Do you have any photos? They can really help. Thanks.

I. Not sure if this will work with a 440. A little help plz.
