I'm getting ready to put everything back on my firewall after painting the engine bay. I already got all new firewall gaskets, but should I also use some sort of putty/sealer around the bolt holes? And if so, what do I use? Do i put in on the engine side of the firewall, or passenger side? Do I use it on every hole? Even ones that have a gasket, like say the accelerator pedal? Thanks!!!

3M makes what is called strip caulk. find it at auto part stores. Comes in black and white.I use black and put it on the studs before installing the nuts.Pliable, never hardens. It comes in 12 inch strips and about 1/8 inch round. Just a guess at least 50 per box. 1 box lasts me about 5-7 years.
