Firm Feel Rant

I'll have to check, I have a Cuda, so hopefully they mighty carry them thank you.

So 99% of me wants to just ignore Matt, he should have thought about this before he burnt that bridge. The other 1% wants those upper control arms. What would you do?
If it was me I would not buy from him, I would rather get familiar with some of the more custom sites to make tubular arms rather than support his behavior. I’m stubborn that way and also don’t feel the apology is out of the kindness of his heart.

The only reason he probably won’t lose the entire sale from me is some things he makes, I can’t get from anybody else. If I could I already would have. I’ll definitely post an update of how any transactions go with him after his apology. I definitely won’t be paying $100 to get in front of the line.
I can't believe someone just wrote this on the public internet. But hope you find peace with the parts you search. Or are owed somehow

Magnum Force is the only other possibility for 73/74 and there is post FABO about how bad they are. Peter at Bergmans Auto also told me to stay away from them.

I do believe also that his apology was more self serving than out of the kindness of his heart. I am also stubborn, some people even go far as to call me an asshole.

Haven't seen one for a 70 AAR, unsure what other ones may fit. a 8 3/4 is a 8 3/4, but unsure of the frame rail position comparison on other mopars

71-74 E bodies could be optioned with "Special Handling" those cars use the same bars...

I get what you are saying, I meant a site like the one I'll link below to make em from scratch. Extreme I know but get me pissed enough...
https://www.joesracing.com/products/suspension/a-arms/components-fabrication/ (this is just from a quick search, I haven't looked for this kind of stuff in a long time)
I'd have to take awhile to educate myself and I know it may not just work if you need to get your car on the road. Luckily for me I am ok with the floppy arms on my car.

Imagine if someone saw a site like above and started a little business to compete with FF

That was one of the things I could get elsewhere. Did you check ADDCO website directly? They actually sell two different size rear sway bars for my 74.
idk about your B bodies but the sway bars that mount behind the axle hit TTI exhausts on the C's so you need the ones that look like the factory ones with the hump in them

I was a dick to the kid for a reason, I started a business over 30 years ago, I saw the spoiled bosses son's run many of them into the ground. I was harder on my son more than anyone else in my company. he quit a few times because I told him he will not be the bosses son, he tried pulling off dumb chit, stopped that program on the spot, even ran him off the job a couple times. He went to work for other people several times, saw the other side of the coin. He now runs the workers and deals with the supers on the job, I pay him half the profits straight up, been about 8 years now our profit margin is higher than its ever been, His self esteem has skyrocketed and so has his bank account, and best of all I actually get to goof a little and enjoy whats left of my life and he will inherit a business that allows him to get the most out of life. So Matt were pulllin for ya!.

I wish I could like this post 10 freakin' times!!

edit: My son wanted nothing to do with the business! Well, I think it was the 4 hour commute but that's another story. Not all is lost, he'll have his doctorate in music performance/education/teaching in a few months. I've come to a place where I can at least see there is a place for the starving artist in our world, maybe even a need but think I've been successful in getting him to see that financially speaking it kind of sucks being one of them. So he will graduate debt free (and he DOES appreciate how that happened) to pursue his passion while I roped his *** in to get my inventory under control. Show me now smart guys how and why this dinosaur doesn't understand "working from home". He now works for free with my inside dudes building the system as I sit back and twist my moustache.

Wow, what a piece of work! Sounds like a fawking azzhole.
Oh crap I’ve had good experiences with firm feel. Want to do more projects from them. You know the old saying” All good things eventually come to an end”!!

I live across the Columbia from FF, and visit Matt now and then. HIs dad is still there, but not well. Matt is talented, fair, and has all the business he can handle, I think. Finding young trainees is impossible. My trans guy heere in PDX had all kinds of exotic classics when he worked on the B-35 in my Rover and the 727 in my now Fury, but he too could not hire a reliable assistant.

Update:

So I’ve been waiting to see how this turned out before I posted an update.

Matt apologized profusely and I agreed to give him a second chance. He promised to have the parts finished up and shipped late December/Early January. He emailed a couple of days ago and said everything was almost ready and he would call me with the shipping cost and total invoice. I just got of the phone with him and he sent my receipt via email with the tracking number. So he kept his word and delivered on schedule. I truly believe he was sincere in his apologies because he has been cordial and apologetic when he was recently talking to me. I think maybe he learned a life lesson from this and I would do business with him again. For those wondering, the shipping was normal price for something like this. $90.

They treated me well in the past on 73+ parts that they didn’t have in stock.

IMO, your drama over shipping cost is just that. This is a small business, and while that model is a bit antiquated, it’s also not unheard of (Mancini for example).

Sounds like you hung up on the guy. He’s a better man than I am for contacting you back. I’d have let you wallow in the suck without the parts you can’t get anywhere else, but that’s also why I won’t run a small business.

I've got almost all the suspension parts for the Bird, most previously purchased from FF, but have now decided I want to go with even larger T-bars so will be contacting them soon about that! Good to know things are evening out with their business.

You obviously didn’t read the thread. He told me he was only going to make the parts he felt like making because I was contacting him too much. Charging my card for shipping without telling me how much it was first was just icing on the cake. He did end up apologizing profusely to me, so apparently it wasn’t me. It’s all good now.
