a white top special car comes with a full white vinyl roof and nothing else....
they are not common but not that rare

and you have no proof of it either..


The "white hat special" was a package option that you could order that gave you some of the most popular options at a better price over ordering them individually. You got a vinyl top in any color, a wood grained steering wheel, deep dish wheel covers, white stripe tires, remote mirror, hood or fender mounted turn signals, bumper guards, and a chrome trims package. They started offering the package in 1967, maybe 66, but really pumped up the add campaign for 69, thus most people think it's a 69 thing only.
