Thanks for viewing. i am stumped again. I have a 1969 RR iam restoring. it has the orginial 727 trans. The crank shaft is set up for a six (6) bolt. I purchased a Hughes Torque Converter (2000 stall) from summit (part no. HUP 24-20). I also purchased a flex plate. The problem I have is this: the bolt holes on the flex plate don t line up with the bolt holes on the torque converter. The distance between the center of the bolt holes on the torque converter is 10 inches. the distance between the center of the opening for the holes on the flex plate is 11 inches. I dont think I ordered a 10 inch converter from summit but that does not mean they didnt send me one?!? IDK. My question is do I need to purchase a different flex plate? I note that summit lists a Chrysler flex plate that has dual bolt pattens, 10 inch and 11 1/8 inch (Part no. BMM10230). Can anyone give me advice on this issue. "Where did I make the wrong turn" Ah!!!! I will call summit to see what they know about the converter they sent me.
