Florida Road Runner

Welcome to the site. Very nice car . What part of FL. Are you in I'm in the Melbourne area ! I have an extremely nice set of rallye wheels I might be willing to swap out for your steelys p.m. me if your interested in talking . Also if your close by there's a big cruse in we mopars of brevard put on every 3ed Thur of every month lots of cars all over the state show up we get around 200-240 at a little ol cruse in . Hope to see you out there if your near by . Good luck with that car it's extremely nice . The guy who restored it probably was lazy with the decals .I would say even though I want them those wheels would look sharp on your car if they were black instead of yellow but ether way I would be tickled to death to get to drive that r.r. have fun and don't brake it!

In terms of the wheels, I think I'll hang on to them, since they're color coded to the car already, but if I change my mind, I'll definitely let you know.

Thanks much for the heads-up on the Brevard mopar shows.

Any ideas on the best place to get a new set of wheels. Allpar seems to have them, but am willing to take a look at any other vendor too.

Great looking ride, welcome.

Welcome aboard, Beautiful Car! For Rallye wheels you can get them from Stockton Wheels, Wheel Vintigues?, Jegs, Coker Tire, Year One, Classic Industries, Ebay and several others in the aftermarket. They are available in the 15" size in widths of 6,7,8 or 10". You can also get them chromed so you wouldn't need the trim rings. I used to have a set of the wheels you have on an old Dodge Mirada. I didn't like the black paint with the slots as they didn't show up. I painted the wheels a contrasting color, put chrome trim rings on and installed a set of baby moon hub caps which reflected the slots in them. Also I had some decent sized meat, I think at least 275/15's on them. Got quite a few compliments on that set up until I installed my favorite aluminum slots.
Good luck with what ever you choose and again , welcome.:)

Welcome from Georgia! Sure looks naked without that rear stripe, but I love that yellow! It's a gorgeous car! Hope to see it at the Melbourne or Garlits shows!

Welcome aboard!
Great looking roadrunner!

As Dennis H. says, change the exhaust tail tips
And adding Magnum 500s might make it "POP" a little more...

So I finally received the car from the long transport from Washington State. It's truly beautiful, but is not "ready to drive" as the seller had told me.

There are a variety of things that need to be worked on right away, but I don't have the time to work on things that I used to. It seems as though the restoration, barely 200 miles old, sort of petered out at the end. Hence the lack of decals on the trunk, etc.

The car is really not drivable, as the brakes are so soft. They feel as though they need to be bled. The rear tail lights don't work, the turn signals don't work on the hood, or in the rear, the driver's side window regulator is very difficult to operate, the driver's side door cannot lock, the heater is always on (not ok in Florida), is difficult to operate, and other annoyances.

Also, the car, though it sound great, is a bit hard-starting, and stalls on occasion. It also has a very eye-stinging exhaust quality that I haven't experienced before and I wonder if it's running too lean or something. I hope it's not a sign of something more serious. I'm also wondering if the carb is tuned for the west coast mountains, and not 0-feet sea level in Florida.

I probably wouldn't mind bringing it into a shop for a few days to get the car drivable and then work on it more slowly.

Can anyone recommend any car repair or restoration specialists in the south Florida area that can give the car a once-over and get it drivable for me? Any suggestions would be very appreciated. I live near West Palm Beach, Florida.
