HT8 with black top.
This is a 318 car with no AC, but has cloth seats, console and cassette.

Mine is a 1 of 503 400-4 barrel car with 3.23 SG, buckets and auto on the column.

BIN is 22K

...except the VIN.

I have all but come to terms that mine is a parts car.

I'm just about to start pulling parts and cutting up the carcass.

The 8 3/4 SG non ISO axle with rear sway bar will go in the Satellite.

I have a 71 Satellite to cut up first with a few parts left to get off.

Scrap is back "up" to 8/100 around here.

Just saw a sign yesterday.

It's been 6 or below for 3 years, and no one was advertising what they were paying.

Well you already have the driveline, and this car can be driven and enjoyed until it is ready for the swap! This would be a no brainer for me. I would hope to buy it for 20k if possible. While the 400 car is rare, they don't bring huge money.

I've done some fairly diligent research, and if you add up the options, the "value" approaches that of a rallye car and even a 71 R/T.

Very difficult decision, but I think I've made up my mind.

To the torch.

Depends on your definition of "approaches".

This is the valuation guide I like-

If you take a #2 base 71 R/T- 44.6K

and start with a base 72, SE- 26.6, then add for the 400-4 (6.65), and the AC (2.6), and the buckets (1.3), and the rallye dash (1.3).
You get 38.4K

Not listed is the SG rear.

Clearly, it is in the same ballpark as a rallye.

Most people don't prefer the 72 SE rear quarter window configuration verses a Rallye Charger, or 71 Charger R/T.

I know that I am not paying an extra 15k for those options. I know that if the price gets within 5k of a 72 Rallye,or 71 Charger R/T,I am buying either one of them first. R/T and Rallye cars already have all those options and more.
