I am a Hall & Oate fan, and have seen this video before.
Mr. Hall still has that seems like at least to me rich voice as he always has I love it, and he still has that groove vibe too although it's not like it used to be. You should see videos of em in his younger younger days when he was first starting out, how much energy he had. He seems like such a classy guy and he still looks 10 years younger than 74 or 5. Wish I was him. I was very lucky enough to have been able to visit his house club in Pawling NY this past year, what an experience that was....
As far as Mr. Hawthorne goes, his voice is just smooth and amazing too just like Mr. Halls'. He will be the next generation to keep the funk music alive, at least to me. He has recorded music himself but he also has a band called Tuxedo. May I highly suggest although there are plenty of great songs by them checking out "The Right Time", "I Got U", and "Shine" by them
My very first concert! August 6, 1983 with Marshall Crenshaw (I looked up the date on their site). I still have the poster somewhere of them opening cans from their sponsor, Canada Dry.
Wow, thanks for sharing that. I always like that song. I am also a huge Booker T. Jones fan.
On a side note, I had the pleasure of working for Booker a few years back and I can honestly say that you will not meet a kinder, more down to earth person on the planet. What an awesome guy. He signed all my records. lol.
