Ford's "Easy Fuel Feature"?

Actually it started before 2011 but I haven't a clue as to exactly when. My 2010 4 X 4 Ford f-150 has it as well. I actually like it over that damn cap. PITA when you loose it and have to replace it with a dealer specific cap. Those stuck in the way back era need to maybe look to its advantages when it comes to fill ups and the occasional gas thieves because you cannot open it without the filler hose and if they try to siphon gas off they cannot. It will even open for fuel additives such as STP Injector additive, etc. Try pushing on it with your finger or even a screw driver and it ain't opening unless you trash it and break it. Then the Check Engine light illuminates and those that have to have their vehicles Smog'd, won't pass until fixed and code cleared. Ford had a better idea on this one and by the way...Dodge actually utilizes a lot of Ford innovations, and parts. Ya' ll know that the Dodge Boys worked for Ford before the left to build their own do you not??? cr8crshr/Bill

"As of 2011".. so 9 years now! My '11 x F150 had it and so does my '19 ! What's to wonder how it works, kinda like a womans legs. Sealed, then you spread them to fill up and take the nozzle back out and they seal again.

Until someone comes and takes what’s yours. ...............

a' ll know that the Dodge Boys worked for Ford before the left to build their own do you not???

They didn't really 'work for Ford' so much as they were part owners of the company and built practically the entire Model T chassis and drivetrain for Ford.

My 2011 Mustang has no cap. No problems and very convenient.

right up to the point where it IS a problem
