Seem to be leaning torwards US CAR TOOLS frame rail connectors and torque boxes. Installing them on my 68 Roadrunner. Anyone have any tips or pics of your experience.
my floors are out at the moment.

Should i do the whole stiffining kit?
What have other people done?
Also does this affect the value of the car?(its no way a numbers matching, and fender tag and build sheet are gone so...) I guess I am ok.??

Did the USCartool subframe connectors only. Transformed. Wash board streets, door closing, major noticable improvement.

I'm using them on my Dart. They recommend installing the frame connecters with the motor and tranny in the car. I haven't installed the connecters yet. I did the boxes and they need a bit of trimming and working to make them fit. They are not like the original ones.

did you install the boxes in the fender wells? i almost feel the the whole kit is a bit of overkill but thats why I'm on here asking. rather get all my facts straight before i purchase.

I have Competition Engineering bolt in subframe connectors only. They were installed with engine and trans in the car and I have never had door alignment issues. These have served me well for the past 15 years.

I've installed quite a bit in my car for stiffening . . .

USCartools Frame Connectors
USCartools Spring Relocation Kit
USCartools Inner Fender Braces
USCartools Lower Core Support
Magnum Force Forward Struts . . .

Torque Boxes . . . didn't need to install these as my car is a convertible and they already have the torque boxes built into the car . . .

All of the installation of these parts is documented in my build thread . . . feel free to ask any questions . . .

Do you race your car and use sticky tires ? Ron

On my 63 I just use MP frame connectors I made work. I also have a 6 point rollbar that stiffened my car more then the frame connectors did. I welded the rollbar right to the rear frame rails and the front frame rails. In the center the center hoop is welded to the floor at the rocker panel area. The rollbar really helped alot to stiffen the car. Ron

I did. I had 11 1/2 slicks on the rear and came out of the hole with a 125 hp shot of nitrous oxide.

Not going as far as you guys. Just want to secure the old bird. While i have it gutted, i want to do as much as i can to help it. Ideally i am planning on doing a streetcar and as close as era correct as possible. I like the slightly modified stock look.
