freaking horrible week

this last days sucks, my engine has a problem, probably a broken piston (I made a post for it),
and after 6 years I just got laid off, as my company is restructuring due to financial problems. I could not get worst, I cannot even drive my car to cool down...

Man! Nothing sucks worse than getting the rug pulled out from under your feet.
I don’t know how layoffs and unemployment work in Sweden, but hoping you can take some time to catch back up on things you need to.

Hopefully a new door opens for you soon.....and for me, after my wife leaving me after 31 years of marriage, I'm doing much better than I thought!! I'm now 71 and like being single.

Everything happens for a reason! Even if it is hard to see at the time - things work out for the better. Trust in that and it will get you through many things in life - including these minor setbacks! Good luck! You will be cruising some winding roads in no time and this time frame will be a distant memory.

Don’t look at it that way ! This can turn into a better opportunity for you. Look around and take a bit of time off to plan your next move.


A lot of places are hiring and paying more, this is a great time to restructure. If you have to apply for unemployment benefits quickly because it takes some time to get approved and then sort a few things out.
You watch and see this will all work out

The good news is next week is bound to be better. At least that's the way I like to look at it.

Just breath things will work out. I remember getting divorced and charger in pieces engine interior everything and no car and had to move out. I survived and so will you.

Hang in there, it WILL get better. I've been laid off at least 5x over the last 21 years due to Chapter 11, Company Re-Org, Economy...etc... Longest I was out of work was 7 months.

Something will pop up. In the meantime, stay in a routine. Look for work on certain days & others do something for you that makes you happy.
