Front Brake conversion Kit

i have a 1971 charger base with the stock 383 and auto torqueflight. I am looking to convert the front drums to disc brakes but am unsure whats applicable to my needs. I require a brake system for normal road driving and i would prefer this conversion kit be powered or assisted ( i unsure what the difference is between the two) .

Also , will i need to extend the brake lines? does the kit usually come with the new brake line?

I know Willwood , Rightstuff and SSBC provide kits. Does anyone have any experience?

I used an SSBC brake kit to replace front manual drums with manual discs using the original spindles...car stopped fine...more pedal pressure needed than power, but way better than manual drums. If you need to replace brake hoses, they will supply them. A lot easier than having to mess with the master cylinder and adding a brake booster.

Call Dr. Diff. Cass is great. I have a 71 RR with power and changed from drums to discs up front. Everything bolted up right. I put SS brake lines all around but ordered the front for discs. The front bolted right up as if made from factory

Agree totally w/ tor red, dr. diff/cass was great to deal with when I put 4whl disc`s on my 68 dart. 1st gen. viper caliper`s front, cobra svt caliper`s in back w/ his axle`s. Bitchin`. check his site first, then call. best of luck.
