Front sway bar bushings replacement

@Jerry Hall are these the complete original style bushing/mount bracket? If so, I'm interested in where you found them. I couldn't find any with a quick Google search.

I redid the bushings on my 67 30 yrs ago. I couldn't find OEM-style bushings at the time so I cut off the original straps and replaced them with the aftermarket U-shaped bushings. I don't remember if I was smart enough to save the original straps so I'd buy new ones if I could. I've never liked the look of the aftermarket stuff.

Fortunately my original brackets are in good shape and didn’t need to find brackets, only replace the rubber.

I don't think you can buy rubber sway bar bushings for the 68-69 style. Poly ones are available from Energy Suspension.
I made mine from rubber flat stock because I needed a larger opening for a different sway bar.

I just replaced my sway bar bushings on my 68 Superbee. Purchased from PSI and they included grease. Lubed up the bushings and worked them in using channel lock pliers. Took about 5 minutes a side.

Reminded me of my childhood at the county fair pig scramble. They would grease up a pig and let us out to grab it, I had hold of it but slipped out. Amazing at 60 now and seems like yesterday :)
