Fuel gauge issue, 70 GTX maybe haunted

New sending unit has the same resistance as first unit. Which makes the gauge lag the sending unit. Is there a way to adjust my new OER gauge ??
Making some calls as soon as they open

Lag? By design these gauges do not respond quickly. If the resistance values check, voltage limiter is at the correct voltage, and the gauge indicates correctly at the correct resistance after 20-30 seconds, nothing wrong with the gauge or sender. All that remains is to verify the float is adjusted to provide the correct fuel level resistance.

By lag I mean at 1/4 tank of fuel the gauge shows empty. The gauge shows E mark at 60 ohms, all the way down on the sending unit is 80 ohms , so it doesn't start to read for about an inch and a half of fuel.
So I bent the rod until it cant go below 60 ohms, not pretty but should work.
