First thing first. I got a new computer and while playing around with it, I decided to make a drawing of a fuel lines for my car using the ink workspace (sketch). I know it's dorky but WTH, thought I'd play around with it (LOL).

Anyway, I have a '71 RR. Need to make fuel lines going in and out of my Quik Fuel carb. But, I have a vapor separator in the wheel well. Lines for fuel feed and return are in the engine bay. I'm planning on using SS lines with AN -6 fittings for both side of the carb and will be putting a filter in the feed line as well. With that, I need to connect to the line for the return and was planning on a reducer from the SS line and connect a rubber line to connect to the return line. Looks good on my sketch, what does everyone think? Will it work?

No one?

Its your call, but the expansion tank was never designed to except fuel from the pump, but just as stated; fuel vapers are allowed to be drawn back into the carb via a carbon filter or directly into the carb from the tank or just return to the fuel tank when the fuel cools down. Typically the float sensor assembly is modified or comes with a separate fuel port for a return line from engine compartment. This is a normal setup for an electric fuel pump to reduce back pressure and to keep the fuel cool and moving at a higher rate. Bottom line is I do not recommend using the tank as a return component.

Are you going to run an electric pump and if so, where is your regulator (if necessary) going to be installed? I don't understand the reasoning behind returning fuel, under pressure, to the vapor recovery tank. As was said, not a feasible plan IMO.

No electric pump, just a mechanical pump. The car came with the tank in the wheel well and both supply and return line is in the engine compartment. Just wanted to utilize the return hard line going back to the tank. Otherwise, that line will just be useless and an eyesore in the compartment
