Need new hard fuel line for my '71 383 w/4 bbl. avs carb. Book shows single line and two piece line. Which line or lines have you out there used? (pump to carb)

Thanks

I'm not sure..... but isn't the 2-piece fuel line for cars with the vapor separator (440 I think) or maybe California emission???

I'm not sure either, that's why I suggested inlinetube. I'm pretty sure they can reference the specific need.

The line you need depends on the fuel pickup and fuel pump. There's two kind of OEM style pickups.

The 5/16" line pickup has no return.

The 3/8" pickup has a 1/4" return line. You'll need a fuel pump with a return outlet. Only the fuel line goes to the carb.

The vapor line runs from the tank vent to the charcoal filter then from there to the purge valve then to the carb. The AVB might or might not have an EVAP inlet. You can bypass that mess, if you want, with an old school vented gas cap.
