Yep......I bought gas for $2.12 today. Well actually it was $2.129

How long is it unbearable there in Tennessee? I mean, for a guy like me that likes to do things outdoors, how long would I be compelled to stay inside and wait out the weather ??

It is never unbearable. Probably about 2 months of colder weather (January/February) that still have some warmer days.

I have worked in zero degree weather. I have worked in the snow. I don't like it but I have done it.
I have worked in California all of my life. The hottest day that I worked was 112. Yeah, humidity was low to moderate but it isn't as dry as Arizona here.
The critics I hear from say that the humidity in the South is like walking around in a steam room where you can shower inside, dry off then go outside and be soaked through your shirt in minutes. I have never experienced that so I don't know what to expect. I will have to visit in the Summer to see if I can tolerate that.
The Wife and I want to relocate to Tennessee.....somewhere below Nashville, maybe to the East a bit.

Anywhere within an hour of Nashville is a great area. The humidity here still is nothing like say SC or FL.

California gas prices aren't funny, but they sure are a joke.
And Dennis, we stop in Ludlow every trip from california to Arizona. Potty stop for the dogs only.
