I m planning to buy Carter M4862 for my 426 hemi. My first question is: Is it good choice?
second: Comp Cams 4646 Push Rod Fuel Pump w/ Bronze Tip the right push rod?

Hi Tank, the street/strip M4862 is a good fuel pump i have one on my 493 stroker . .one thing i did to mine was i modified the inlet and out lets, they come 1/4 npt so i drilled them out and tapped them to 3/8 npt thinking it would be less restriction. great pump for street driving and stomping. you ask about the bronze tip fuel pump pushrod what type of cam are you running ? http://www.cpgnation.com/forum/threads/how-to-choose-the-proper-fuel-pump-pushrod.5621/

that's a 9lb pump. too much pressure for stock carbs. it can be made to work ok with a regulator or some kind of return. those pumps need to be taken apart and the inlet and outlet passages open up for max flow. the 1/4" pipe thread is ok but the internal suction and pressure transfer passages are only 1/4" i.d. i drill them to 5/16" i.d. to match the i.d. of 3/8" tubing and radius the inlets and outlets.
