After fixing other issues with my Belvedere II... I need to replace the fuel sending wire. I have measured the resistance at the tank and it reads correct, but the wire is shot.

I have looked at painless, and a few other sites and I have been unable to locate anyone that sells the wire (from the dash to the fuel tank). I can buy an 18 gauge lavender wire, but where can I buy the brass connector to the dash, or the female pin that is pushed on to the sending unit?

I know I can buy a new wiring kit, and for now I am trying to put off that expense.

Can you cut off the existing ends and leave a 3" pigtail that you can then solder to your new wire?

No, I wish I could... the wire is shot

The end that attaches to the fuel sending unit will attach with a nut vs. the plug on connection, so you could use a simple crimp on wire connection, if you aren't concerned about keeping it original.

Evans Wiring may also have the parts you need.

Thanks... I will check their site out.

I want to thank everyone for their input. I ordered the sending unit wire from evens wiring. I also came across passion4mopars.com site... Kim was truely awesome she has the very hard to find wiring harness for the the 66 mopars, and she make other custom harness too. If you are looking be sure to check out passion4mopars along with evens wiring between the two shops I got nearly all of my wiring needs taken care of. Now all I need to find is the brass post the receives the the pin on the back of the dash... Thanks again everyone
