when i run my car a while and it gets to operating temp and shut it off a while its hard to start like it lost its prime a few pumps and it starts. i was told that the fuel boils and the fuel in carb vaporizes. what steps can i do to prevent this? i know the gasket between carb and intake could be one but what else?

Do you have an accurate read on what temp it is running at when you shut it off?

Is there a heat type spacer under the carb? today's gas will boil out or drain back down to the pump. You can help out the heat problem with isolating the carb from the hot manifold I use and Edelbrock heat spacer along with an additional 1/2" aluminum spacer gaskets in between to help out and it seems to work I have restarted with out issue at 220°

Also block the heat crossover in the intake, but even that isn't enough to completely solve the issue. The only guaranteed cure is fuel injection.

yea crossover is blocked using performer rpm intake, i have been doin some research and i dont have an insulator gasket under carb and im not using 3 prong fuel filter so maybe i should start there?

Eliminating the mech pump and going electric will take heat out of the fuel just because the pump is not heated by the engine.
