I am replacing the gas tank & fuel lines in my GTX, and was curious about re-using the fuel vapor separator in the wheel well. Instead of running the vent line to the breather cap, would it be better to adapt the charcoal canister setup that started in 72 to avoid hot/cold start issues? Or is their an easier method altogether ?

My '73 has the fuel vapor separator on the top of the tank that feeds to the charcoal canister and a second vent line that feeds from the fuel pump to fuel vapor separator that is located between the fuel pump and the carburetor so 1 fuel line and 2 vent lines to the tank. This setup was used with the 440HP engine. I'm not sure if it works better than the system on you GTX but I have not had problems with hot/cold starts (but I don't have Texas heat!)
