When I bought my first diesel Sprinter van in 2004, diesel was 25 cents a gallon cheaper than cheap gas & now it's 55 cents higher. Since there's less refining involved with diesel fuel, that makes zero sense to me.

Can you imagine the truckers paying as much as $700 or more for a fillup then only getting 5 mpg at best?

Price per gallon here in Hamilton Ontario is $2.97 (US dollars and conversions done).

Ours was the cheapest it's been in a long time at $2.19 in December.

Then up to 2.29, then 2.39 and now down to 2.32.

We were down to 1.87 but 2.19 now.
As for Diesel fuel and greed its the taxes of Diesel that makes it cost more.

The lowest priced station I’ve seen in a long time - $3.07 for regular. Not the norm but we have access to it so that’s where we buy

My work van is loaded with tools, and ladders on top. Its like driving a tool box. With all that weight, and city driving, $2.08 is a blessing !
