General Lee style Vector wheels- 1968 Charger

Those tires will be a hair more than 3/4" closer to the fender. If you have more clearance than that, those tire will work.
And I do consider them a fairly conservative size . Check all four tires. Tolerances in the old days weren't great.

I like how the used set have a deeper dish on the 15x9s, the re pops add any extra width to the inside. I have the new ones and that's the only thing I would change about them.
My friend has the 15x8 and 15x9 ones on his 70 Charger R/T, no rubbing issues.

I finally found a set of the Vector "General Lee" style wheels for my 1968 Charger. It is a reproduction set that is brand new. Sizes are 15x7 and 15x8.5 with 4" and 5" of back spacing respectively. I'm now looking for the perfect set of tires. I was thinking 225/70/15 for the front and 275/60/15 for the rear. Does that sound right or should I look for any different sizes? Thanks again for all the comments/suggestions.

Those sound good, imo.
The only thing I'd be concerned about would be rubbing on the inside, either the tub or spring, in the rear with 275s. That's a nice offset to the inside.
Put the wheel on the car in the rear, and see how much room you have to the spring. Then take the published section width of the tire and calculate where it will be.
If it's too close a thin QUALITY spacer can be used.

Just curious. You say they are repo's. Do they use conical lugs, or mag style like originals? (I know which way I'm betting)

The 275s fit nicely on the rears, I had 235 60s on the fronts mostly be I already had them and they fit well there too.
