I'm trying to install a new lock on my 72 glove box. I know there's a tab that has to be depressed to lock the cylinder in to keep it from coming out, but it seems that the cylinder is too long. The same is true for the old lock. I can't push it in far enough to get the tab to engage. Without this, you can simply pull the lock out. It appears my latch is worn out, but Im not sure that's the issue. What am I missing?
