Thanks everyone. I originally bought the car in 1990, when I was 15. Then sold it in 2000. I often wondered was happened to it over the years. Was browsing Facebook Marketplace last weekend and it popped up and was only 25miles from my house. I know right away that it was my old car, so I went and bought it back. It's definitely a project car now. I think it's been sitting in the sun all those years.
Very Cool that you were able to find your first car and then turn it into a project with your son so he can make new memories with it as well. I love the 66-67 B-bodies and wish you good fortune on your build.
Welcome to the site!! My first car was a 66 Belvedere II and also a mo door. Didn't really like it at first but I didn't complain when it was 'awarded' to me for 1/2 the value when I 'gradiated' from low school. It was bought new by my sister with dad's help but it wasn't long before she and dad had a falling out and dad took it over and then I took 'corntroll' of it shortly after. I got to where I liked it a bunch more once I dropped in a mild 383 in 1970 and had lots of fun with it. Had to sell it when Uncle Sam got me in 71 and was shipping me overseas and next thing I heard was it got into a head butting contest with a bridge abutment.....and lost.
