GPS Disk Conversion Issuses

So I just tried to install the PST Disk Brake Conversion kit on my 69 Coronet with 10" drum brakes.

I just slid the rotors on and tried to torque up the outer nut and found out it is bottoming out on the spindle threads and the rotor assembly still has at least 1/4" play in it. I even tried doubling up the outer retaining washer and it still has massive play.

Has anyone installed these and solved this issue?

The stipulations of the kit state 10" drums. Which is what I have. Obviously the spindle I have is too long, but I don't see how it can be any different than normal.

No worries. I'm trying to find documentation that shows the different spindles available for drum brakes in 69. I want to have some information handy when I call the company tomorrow.

Please update us on what PST says. It looks like a quality kit.

Will do. Everything about the kit is great quality. Except this issue. I also found out that the rotor rubs something when it is fully set. I'm suspecting I got the wrong rotor kit.

I called GPS Brakes (maker of this kit) and they are working to see what the issue might be. Great service so far, so I am hopeful we will get to the bottom of this.

I wanted to update everyone on this thread. GPS shipped me out, 2nd day on their dime, the correct spindle spacer. You will see in the pic below the difference. The thicker one is the correct one. However, I can see how the mistake could be made pulling these parts off the shelf as they look very similar.
