Just a quick hello from Baltimore.

I've got a '69 Coronet R/T that I picked up about 15 years ago. Dark green metallic, white hat special car, 440, auto. Someone was kind enough to add a six-pack setup before I got to it. I bought it from an Imperial collector who thought it was too much motor for "that little car."

It's been parked for the past five years, and just started reviving it this week. Fuel pump died as we were reviving it. Also found out that the brakes were no longer functional. That made it fun moving it ~40 feet down hill. Heh.

Since I don't have a garage or proper driveway, I'm looking into options for making it safe and reliable again. I've also ordered a new Factory Service Manual and Six-Pack supplement since mine are in storage.

Since I know it doesn't exist unless there are photos ...

Welcome. Reminds me of my (ex) 69 Bee which was an F8 car with white stripe. It also had a white painted top, hood scoops and quarter scoops none of which was correct.

It needs more than that. I'm almost afraid to find out how bad the rust in in spots. First step is to get it running. Next step is to get it to stop.

Anyone local to me out there? I've been out of the car scene for quite a while now. It's been guitars for the past several years. You'd think that would be a more cost effective hobby ...

Nice car i also have a 69 r/t mine is f-5 green no vinyl top located in southern md. Not too far. Good luck getting the bugs out & getting it back on the road.

Well, tomorrow I'll take off the old fuel pump, and see what kind it is, and try to get something back on it ASAP so I can at least start it and let it run for more than a few minutes at a time. It'll also get it's first bath in more than a decade.

Does anyone know of any place in the B'more area I can pick up a fuel pump? Right now it seems like I'll have to order one and wait a few days.

I've found that the hard lines from the filter to the six pack are fairly inexpensive, so once I get the service manuals (and 6bbl supplement) to see how the factory did it, I'll get something safer than the 5/16 rubber fuel line in place.

I should specify ... I'm just looking to get the stock type mechanical fuel pump right now. Not worrying about electric pumps or other upgrades until I get the car sorted out and reliable.

today I washed the car for the first time in a decade. Found all the usual rust spots. The trunk weatherstripping needs to be replaced ASAP. Seems to be a pretty easy job.

Got the YearOne catalog in the mail yesterday, and most anything I'd need is in there. I know there are other, often better sources, but it's nice to know what's available at a glance...
