Bit of background first
Well its just past 12 months since i split the block on my 505 .
After searching around for a month or so i was lucky enough to find a brand new in box World iron block - here in Australia .
Had it checked and fitted the rotating assembly from old motor , same TF270 heads , intake etc . Plus a new cam , same spec as old one .
Old motor went low mid 10.30s with 30" tall radial slick . Fast enough for a street car , runs full street exhaust interior etc . It is my daily driver . And really doesnt like pulling up at 129/130mph .
Went 2 weeks ago but had a fuel issue and only went 10.44 . BUT then i weighed it , 3775lbs . Right close to 100lbs heavier .
Back to work and fixed fuel issue . Also upped rear jets from 98 to 100
Weather is just prime for power right this time of year ,. Saturday was 854-1296da , mid 30 water grains low 50 vapour point and 66-72F
First pass was [email protected] . That cleaned the plugs . 2nd pass [email protected]
Ok lets raise shift from 6300 to 6500

Sixties were 1.45,1.455,1.451,1.457,1.445 . Last is 2nd best ever sixty
So pretty darn happy , has only lost 0.02 @ equivalent da . AFR was 12.9-13.1across the stripe all 5 passes
I now have to consider fitting the rear disc kit i picked up last month
I drive the Plymouth to the track , race tyres in the boot with jack parts and kettle . I hour drive each way

Cant complain about a 10.30 street car. Where did the extra weight come from? What is the difference between the 2 motors?

Doug ,
weight is all from the World block !
That is the only change .
It has met my goals , is only legal to 10.00 . Class I run is dyo 10.00-12.99 no box . Puts me at #3-5 qualifier on a 28-32 car field mostly
Thanks to guys on here , Moparts and a good engine shop for help

Another car that is driven AND goes 10s at the track!
You and HEMI-ITIS are inspirational!
Thanks!

great #'s for a driven to the track & back combo, for damn sure

congrats, have fun & go rounds

Went to a club 1/8 event yesterday
Startline was patchy,bald and iffy
9 1/8 passes . PB on the sixty twice , went 1.430 then 1.428
Only times it really hooked
Had opportunity to run 1/4 test late so i jumped on in
Really shocked , but pleased . Espacially as it turned off the line
DA was great at 532-1151 . There was a light headwind , pretty straight down track , and it was cold and dry

I have a question about the pressure on your time slips. I'm assuming it's barometer? Those numbers are something I've never seen. Lowest ever recorded in history was in a typhoon, 25.69. I'd be thinking somewhere 28.7-29.3?
