Decided to run the NDRL 9.25 index in Buckeye as well to simplify things. so same dial all weekend. Results were not outstanding. Picked the wrong times to have my 2 worst lights in eliminations. Car was fantastic except one run. Lost rd 1 In the NDRL F/X shoot out. Car wouldn't run the number. 9.28 coupled with .033 R/T didn't get it done. Buckeye went better went into rd 4. Decided to just dial this time instead of adjusting weight to run index as rds were getting back to back quick. My worst light of the weekend, .057. My opponent was close with a .052. Unfortunatly she ran a 10.510 on a 10.50. Took a nice .016 stripe on the brake but went .012 under. Saturday night and Sunday the car picked up nearly .10. Still not sure why.The weather was very similar. Slight wind change but nothing signifcant. Did not run Buckeye on Sunday as I was trying to zero in on the NDRL points case. Sarted the wekend 4 points out of the lead. First rd is good. .012 R/T double breakout. two of the top 7 in points lose, perfect. Rd 2 I get the points leader, perfect. Good way to gain. He is a 9.50 car so the stripe will be easier to judge being similar speed (7mph). I seldom get this opertunity. We leave and see i'm going to catch him. At the 1000ft I'm 6ft behind. Pass him and look right across at the back of his scoop, perfect. Then a huge mistake. For some reason hit the brakes too hard. realised imediatly and got back on the throttle. To late gave up the stripe by .001. That was the 2nd time tis year I've mede a poor desicion at the stripe. Plenty of very good ones though. In my 4 loses this year in NDRL the lights have been .003, .017, .010. .011. Matbe this coming weekend t Norwalk my luck will change. On a side note my son Scotts car again had spin issues Friday. Dis some more adjustments and Saturday it was good. Made 2 good passes Sunday and spun again in rd 1 of Buckeye. We will get it but it's frustrating. We have never tuned a cars suspension that has givien us issues this long before it got figured out. It goes about 1/2-3/4 tire revolution and then spins. carbs? converter?, shocks? springs/torsion bars? tires? It's a combination or one of those five.
