anybody here add a hand brake to there 8 3/4? I just watched the latest junkerup on you tube where he added one to his general for auto cross. Looks like a lot of fun! Oh, he put a pistol grip on it too. Extra fun!
That was a cool trick. I saw the video when linked to his thread at the Charger forum.anybody here add a hand brake to there 8 3/4? I used to have a Hillman Imp (Chrysler UK) back in the 80's ....took it to the local beach a few times and jumped that thing over the dunes. It flew quite well....got at least 8 feet of clean air underneath. Rear engine and balanced reasonably well. It didn't last too long....ended up dragging it to the junk yard for parts. That was a cool trick. I saw the video when linked to his thread at the Charger forum.
I have a foot pedal parking brake assembly from a 76 Dart that I wanted to put in my '67. You can defeat the locking mechanism so it kicks back up after taking your foot off of the pedal. No hands off of the wheel!
I did this swap to a 73 Duster I had in the 90s. I could come into a corner a bit hot and bump the pedal, turn the wheel and drift right through. I did this stuff off road though, on dirt. The Plymouth was my low budget General Lee type car!
I was making a home movie and used this car as my driver. I made a fake roll bar out of ABS plumbing pipe. Note in the LAST picture, you can see another Orange car in the background. THAT was the jump car! I had a 73 Dart Sport 360 that was totalled before I bought it. I jumped that Dart 6 times with the longest distance being 82 feet. The highest was 11 feet. No safety equipment either...Just a lap belt and a roll bar. I wish I had still pictures of the jumps. I do have video though...I could probably get still shots from that footage!
Hair as Orange as the Duster! That was a cool trick. I saw the video when linked to his thread at the Charger forum.
